1916

Motosuke Yanagiya succeeded his family business, “KAMABOKO (Fish Cake) manufacturing”. (This year is made the established year of Yanagiya.)
1926Motosuke Yanagiya applied for the utility model of Grinding Kneader.
He was manufacturing Grinding Kneader while managing his KAMABOKO manufacturing business.
1931Opened “Yanagiya Restaurant”.
1932Opened “Yanagiya Iron Works”.
1950Established “Yanagiya Iron Works Co., Ltd.”
1955The medal with a yellow ribbon was awarded to Motosuke Yanagiya for his contribution to and diligence in planning, improving and developing marine product processing machines.
1957Yukio Yanagiya assumed the position of the president.
1961Established Yokohama office to expand business.
1967Moved to the new company building and factory completed in Nishi-Ube, UbeCity.
1973Established Osaka office to expand business.
1975Yukio Yanagiya assumed the chairman, and Yoshio Yanagiya assumed the position of the president.
1985The company name was changed to “Yanagiya Machinery Co., Ltd.”
1986Yokohama office was promoted to a branch.
1990Moved to the new company building and factory completed in Yoshiwa, Ube City.
1991Established Sendai office, and Osaka office was promoted to a branch.
1998Established EU office in France.
2006Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) visited Yanagiya.
Selected one of 300 energetic small & medium scale companies by The Small and Medium Enterprise Agency of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.
2007Awarded Science Technology Reward 2007 from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan by developing Imitation Crab Meat Equipment.
