Motosuke Yanagiya succeeded his family business, “KAMABOKO (Fish Cake) manufacturing”. (This year is made the established year of Yanagiya.) |
1926 | Motosuke Yanagiya applied for the utility model of Grinding Kneader. He was manufacturing Grinding Kneader while managing his KAMABOKO manufacturing business. |

1931 | Opened “Yanagiya Restaurant”. | |
1932 | Opened “Yanagiya Iron Works”. | |
1950 | Established “Yanagiya Iron Works Co., Ltd.” | |
1955 | The medal with a yellow ribbon was awarded to Motosuke Yanagiya for his contribution to and diligence in planning, improving and developing marine product processing machines. | |
1957 | Yukio Yanagiya assumed the position of the president. | |
1961 | Established Yokohama office to expand business. | |
1967 | Moved to the new company building and factory completed in Nishi-Ube, UbeCity. | |
1973 | Established Osaka office to expand business. | |

Yukio Yanagiya assumed the chairman, and Yoshio Yanagiya assumed the position of the president. |

2006 | Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) visited Yanagiya. Selected one of 300 energetic small & medium scale companies by The Small and Medium Enterprise Agency of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. |

2007 | Awarded Science Technology Reward 2007 from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan by developing Imitation Crab Meat Equipment. |
